This March I'm hosting two watercolour classes at Artisan Gifts and Flowers in Coquitlam, suited for both beginners and advanced students.
In these 3 hours classes you will learn the basic watercolour washes as well as some advanced techniques, and will leave with a beautiful painting and a new skill set that can be used for future art projects!
1. Aurora Bear - March 5, 5-8 pm
Dive into the world of nature and paint a unique Aurora Bear in Elena Markelova’s signature double exposure style. Elena will be showing you how to combine a portrait of the Bear with a Northern Lights mountain landscape using different watercolour techniques and some of Elena’s favourite tricks to add more life and movement to the painting.

2. Coastal Orca - March 12, 5-8 pm
Dive into the world of nature and paint a unique Killer Whale in Elena Markelova’s signature double exposure style. Elena will be showing you how to combine a portrait of the Orca with a mountain seascape of its natural habitat using basic watercolour techniques and some of Elena’s favourite tricks to add more life and movement to the painting.
