After having a baby it’s not that easy to catch my muse as often as I’d love to. So when it actually happens I dive into deep oceans, fly over glazed lakes or gallop the midnight fields... I painted this guy when I was obsessed with the whales (for the whole month I was painting whale a day). I found amazing stories online and just couldn’t get my eyes off of these fascinating creatures, of the way they move, or the way they communicate. I put all my heart out painting this guy, imagining him swim through the Salish Sea.
