This November I'm hosting two watercolour classes at Artisan Gifts and Flowers in Coquitlam, suited for both beginners and advanced students.
1. Killer Whale - November 20, 5-8 pm
Dive into the world of nature and paint a unique Killer Whale in Elena Markelova’s signature double exposure style. Elena will be showing you how to combine a portrait of the Orca with a mountain seascape of its natural habitat using basic watercolour techniques and some of Elena’s favourite tricks to add more life and movement to the painting.
All materials provided. You will keep a set of professional watercolour paints and brush after the workshop to create even more beautiful art.
2. Misty Forest - November 27, 5-8 pm
Mountain tops jutting skyward of the fog are a beautiful sight, but don’t forget – what’s clouded by the fog is shrouded in mystery. Elena will be showing you the exact techniques of painting a beautiful Misty Forest in watercolour.
This class is for students who are not completely new to watercolour and/or already took one of Elena's Basic classes.
There are two packages available. If you have materials needed (any blue, any green + Payne's Grey colours, as well as Chinese calligraphy brush and/or other watercolour brushes), please pick the package #1.
If you don't have any materials, please pick the package #2. 2 brushes will be provided at the class for detailing and smoothing + a set of professional watercolour paints for you to keep and create more beautiful art at home.
