This 3-week watercolor course is all about capturing the beauty, movement, and character of whales and marine life. From the striking contrast of orcas to the graceful forms of whales, students will learn how to simplify these magnificent animals while bringing them to life through watercolor.
We’ll explore animal proportions, light and shadow, smooth forms, movement, and the interaction between wildlife and water. Each class will focus on creating an expressive marine scene while building confidence in painting both the animal and the atmosphere around it.
Perfect for artists who love whales, orcas, and the ocean, and want to explore the connection between wildlife, water, and atmosphere through watercolor.
Class 1: Whale Tail
Class 2: Underwater Whale
Class 3: Orca in Misty Water
